The Elmwood Trobots competed in their First Lego League qualifier tournament this weekend at Bradley University. They did a wonderful job with their presentations both with the judges and the public and made some new friends as well. We are so proud of the work they put into this season and the progress they've made!

Movie and Pizza!!! JV played in the Tremont Round Robin this afternoon. 2 tough games, but they gained a lot of experience and played well. Next games for JV and Varsity is Monday at Havana!
The EHS Dance team had their first competition today! 2nd Pom, 2nd Open Pom and 4th IHSA. Not to shabby for our first performances of the year!

Today was Mr. Updyke's last day of student teaching at Elmwood High School. He was a great addition to our staff and has a bright future in the classroom!
Yesterday the Industrial Arts shop took a trip to Alcast for a tour of their facilities. Our tour guide Zach Bell showed us how they pour molten aluminum in their foundry and machine the castings in their many world class CNC machining centers. This was a great experience for the students to see how the skills they are learning in class transfer directly to occupational opportunities. #TrojanForge #TheTrojanWay #Elmwood322

I just used this exact analogy to explain electron shielding and its effect on atomic radius to my chemistry classes. Also, same analogy, to explain vapor pressure and boiling point. I appreciate our PE department "making it real" today.

We are excited to share that the yellow house located on school property has been successfully moved to its new home/lot this morning. The relocation process went smoothly, and all access around the area has now returned to normal.
Thank you to our staff, students, neighbors, and local partners for your patience and cooperation during the move. This is another positive step in continuing to improve and prepare our campus for future projects.
