This week, our staff spotlight is on Kimberly Lawrence. Kimberly is one or our school's custodian and a bus driver for Elmwood #322. She works hard everyday to ensure that the school is up and running. Kimberly has been here at Elmwood for two years. "I am humbled and honored to be a small but important part of their lives. Most recently, moving back to central Illinois for family. My husband and I settled in Brimfield, and I was hired by Elmwood to drive Special Needs route and perform custodial work in order to allow me to be a full-time employee." We are fortunate to have the second floor of our press box for use as a "luxury box" to benefit Easterseals Central Illinois.
I'm so thankful for Mrs. Strom and Mrs. Ulrich for spending hours yesterday cleaning the carpet and the room in general in preparation for the season.

Elmwood JH Cross Country had their first meet of the season today at the St. Jude Hokum Karem Relay!
The boys’ team placed 3rd out of 15 teams, with Levi Stewart and Jack Miller placing 6th as a pair.
The girls’ team placed 1st out of 16 teams, with Sydney Schmieg and Quincy Maier being crowned this year’s champions!
Congratulations to both teams on a great start to the season! We are excited to see what’s ahead.

This year, I will be recongzing a staff member weekly. Our first spotlight goes to Mr. Brad Crisco. He teaches PE and Health . Also he coaches our football team. He is an avid hunter and meat expert. This is Mr. Crisco last year as a teacher and he will be retiring in May afer 33 years of education. His favorite quote is "Don't Poke the Bear!!".
