The high school yearbook staff is back at it today, brainstorming ideas and themes for the new year! What theme would you like to see in your book this year?

We had a very successful three days of freshmen and percussion camp! The freshmen met for 2 hours each morning to learn marching fundamentals and the drumline met for 2 hours each evening to work on music. Thank you for your hard work and perseverance!

That's a wrap on band summer lessons! Twenty-five students had four one-on-one lessons with Mr. Pratt over the last four weeks. Each student set goals for their individual growth and they all made great progress!

FFA members Kenzie Hess and Gavin Strom are attending Illinois FFA Leadership Camp this week in Monticello. They will be bringing back team building activities and ways to improve the chapter.

The JH/HS Elmwood Parents Club is hosting an Ice Cream Social Meet & Greet with our new JH/HS Principal Mr. Bell and his family Sunday, August 10th from 3-5 at the Maple Lane Country Club. Elementary Gym Remodel Update! The walls are freshly painted, the floors being being installed, and the energy is high as we head into the next phase. From sport events to P.E., this space is getting ready to shine for our students and community!

There is only one day left for the first year of the Elmwood Summer Drama Camp! We hope to see you all tomorrow at 10:30 in the HS auditorium for our final showcase! It should last just over an hour! Please enter through the front doors, which will open at 10:00. And if your student didn't make it this year, don't worry--we'll be back next summer!

Get out of the heat and come watch some volleyball at EHS today! The team is hosting their annual end of summer league tournament! There will be games all day and evening. Elmwood plays at noon, 5pm, and 7pm. Come support EHS volleyball!
