Yesterday we kicked things off the Trojan Way with a grill out for our amazing Elmwood CUSD #322 staff! 🍔🌭 From hamburgers and hot dogs to great conversation and laughter, it was a well-deserved opportunity to celebrate the people who make our schools so special. A huge thank you to all of the parents who brought in delicious side-dishes and the 8th Grade Class for donating toward the cookout cost. Our Parents Clubs have gone all out to help put on a special week in appreciation of our staff!
Thank you to our Administration Team and Board of Education for hosting, and most importantly, thank you to our incredible staff for the impact you make on our students and community every single day.

In the 800: Logan Siegel (2:17), Colton Turner (2:14), Hason Hubbard (2:08), and Darwin Herman (1:56)
In the 1600: Geoffrey Schrachtrup (5:13),Danny Ellen (4:56), Cooper Brown (4:56), Cole Cahill (4:37), Kam Stevenson (4:35), and Aiden Faulkner (4:24)
In the 3200: Silas Schmieg (11:18), Oliver Funk (11:05), and Danny Sharp (11:43)
Both Darwin and Danny finished in the top 5 in their races and received medals.
Bristol Schmidgall ran 11:50.58 to place 3rd overall in the 3200m run at the Morton Distance Gala!

Congratulations to Mya Hill for setting a new school record in the 1600m run! Mya ran 5:00.92 at the Morton Distance Gala, breaking the previous record of 5:08.85 set by Maggie Carroll in 2004.
English III enjoyed their final discussions about Fahrenheit 451 at Nighthawks the last couple of days. There's nothing like classic literature and coffee: they make a perfect pair.
