While taking a podcast walk with seniors I listened to two physicists talk about problems with popular science media sometimes. One thing I learned - the scientist who authored the paper does not get to write the title that appears. This leads to many issues that come from 'fantastic' titles created by editors to sell copy/clicks. That, in turn, leads to the general public feeling they were mislead (often because they did not read the actual article). Media and science literacy are so important.
Advanced Chemistry students are taking their first science podcast walk of the year. Looking forward to their reports on what they learned.

Our Junior High Cross Country season is officially underway and both our Girls AND Boys teams overcame the heat to bring home 1st Place finishes in their opening meet! 🥇🥇 Sydney Schmieg led the girls team with a 1st overall finish and Ty Dawson led the boys team with a 5th overall finish!
