Our Elmwood/Brimfield Boys Cross Country team has been nominated for the FM 95 Hometown Heroes of the Week award! This is a community voted award, with the winning team for the week moving on for a chance at $1,000 for their high school's athletic department when we wrap up the season.

Last Wednesday, some students from Industrial Arts classes went on a field trip to Camp Big Sky to see one of our next projects as well as volunteering to help assist some of the campers! This was a great opportunity for many of the students to work on their networking, communication, and leadership skills.

Tonight, our Senior Night Football Game this Friday will have fireworks! Thank you to the parents sponsoring this event, the City of Elmwood & Elmwood Fire Department for creating a safety plan, and the E/B Football team for cleaning up debris afterward! There will also be free pork chops provided by David Vaughan-Country Financial and free popcorn provided by the Peoria County Farm Bureau! Come out and support our Senior E/B athletes! #TheTrojanWay
The EB Trojans Boys XC Team finished the regular season with a win in the Varsity race and 4 medalists along with a win in the JV race with 6 medalist at the Patriot Invite.
Elmwood was represented by 8 wonderful musicans at The Monmouth College Honor Band on Oct. 24th! They had a great day of rehearsals and put on a fantastic concert! Bravo!

Trojan Community Member of the Month! Through her work at the Morrison and Mary Wiley Library, Tracy Burnett exemplifies the spirit of The Trojan Way. Tracy has created many opportunities for our community members and students to engage with the library over many years. These activities include crafts, book talks, contests, programs, and creative tasks. Tracy informs the school each month about the upcoming events at the library and has fostered a strong community - school connection. Her work at the library has directly benefited our students. We are grateful to Tracy and all the library staff for their continued dedication and commitment to our community library through their love for reading! Day 1 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis! Elmwood FFA attended opening session, showed the FFA Mall, had a great dinner at the Garage Food Hall and took part in a Haunted House with Brimfield FFA!
