Today is the annual FFA petting zoo all Elmwood students are welcome! The grade school really enjoys the trip down to the high school shop to see what the shop classes are up to as well as of course all of the animals, tractors and trucks!

Qualitative analysis allows for identification of substances based on observable properties. Today, we solve the "Old Lady McGuire" crime by studying precipitation reactions involving samples found at the crime scene. In this case, Sample J led students to identify Burger King as the likely perpetrator. The white precipitate indicates the presence of the chloride ion. The red precipitate indicates the presence of the chromate ion. The clear solution is a control.

Another successes Brown Bag It for our music and art students today at the Peoria Riverfront. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the students!

Congratulations to Mya Hill and Ella Helms who both set school records on Friday night! Mya broke the previous 800 record (set by Maggie Carroll-2:20.07) with a 2:18.53. Ella ran a 1:00.51 to top the previous 400 meter record held by Mya Strahm (1:00.53). Great job girls! #TheTrojanWay
