With unusually high temperatures in the forecast this week, our administrative and athletic teams are closely monitoring heat levels to keep everyone safe. Student safety is always our top priority, so please bear with us as coaches and leadership teams make real-time decisions regarding practices and games. This may mean last-minute schedule changes, shortened sessions, or moving activities indoors. Please make sure your students pack extra water, stay hydrated, and keep an eye on your primary email and team communication channels for quick updates from our coaching teams!
This week's WORD OF THE WEEK seems pretty simple - excellence. However, we will dive into its root meaning from Latin, and its philosophical core in Greek (arete). "ex" - out from. "cellere" - rise high, tower. Excellence is active, not static.

Congratulations to the EBXC girls on winning the varsity race at the IVC Invite. Top 10 finishes by Berlyn, Riley, Bristol, and Mya. Grace, Dayna, Sophie, and Kendall all placed in the JV race. Great team effort!

Congratulations going out to the Elmwood-Brimfield X-Country teams. The boys won both the F/S meet and the Varsity meet at the IVC invite.
The Elmwood JH Cross Country team competed at the IVC Grey Ghost Invite at Three Sisters Park and had an outstanding day. The girls team finished 3rd overall, led by Sydney Schmieg, who placed 2nd individually. The boys team took home the team championship with an impressive 27 points. They were led by Crosby Herman who placed 4th, Drew Almasi in 3rd, and Jack Miller placed 1st overall!! Congrats to all our runners on a great day of competition #TheTrojanWay
